Defense Health Information Management System (DHIMS), the DoD group that handles the Electronic Health Record for the U.S. Military, request a comic-style magazine to use as a training supplement for their staff. The result was the three-issue EHR Insights series, for which I did art direction, character design,writing and drawing comics, spot illustrations, print setup,press checks and vendor coordination.
10,000 copies of each issue were distributed throughout the organization and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Unfortunately, training funding was reduced and the project ended.
